The 97-428-11S is an Amphenol 97 Series standard cylindrical connector designed for robust electrical interconnection applications. This size 12S connector features a rugged metal shell with conductive finish, stamped and formed crimp contacts, and closed entry socket contacts with plastic retention. The connector utilizes standard 97 Series hardware and is intermateable and intermountable with existing 97 Series and SAE AS50151 connectors, providing design flexibility and compatibility. It is UL recognized (File E115497) and CSA certified (File #069183_0_000), ensuring compliance with safety standards. The connector supports wire sizes from 12 to 30 AWG with corresponding current ratings ranging from 23 amperes (12 AWG) to 1.0 ampere (30 AWG), and operates at recommended voltages up to 1250 VDC or 900 VAC depending on service rating. Common applications include industrial equipment, aerospace systems, and high-reliability electrical assemblies where durability and secure connections are essential.
