DESCRIPTION

The 408971-000 (GILS-4/0) is a gel in-line splice kit rated for 1000V, designed to create a sealed splice for power cables. It includes a range-taking mechanical connector that accommodates both aluminum and copper conductors from #2 to 4/0 AWG, requiring a recommended torque of 225 in-lb. The connection is protected by a PowerGel sealant rated to 95°C and housed in a compact, UV-stable polypropylene cover measuring 4.25 inches in length. Ideal for buried, underground, and overhead applications, this kit provides a fast, reliable, and easily re-enterable sealed connection that meets ANSI C119.1 standards.
