DESCRIPTION

The M81714/67-15 is a composite termination system frame assembly designed to accommodate multiple modular components for standardized wire and contact termination in aerospace and defense interconnection systems. This frame assembly is part of the MIL-T-81714 Series II system, which uses rugged socket contacts terminated to internal pin-buss bars, eliminating the need for separate pin contacts in mating components. The system supports contact sizes 22, 20, and 16 AWG with corresponding current ratings of 5 A, 7.5 A, and 13 A respectively, and operates across a temperature range of -65°C to +200°C with a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1500 Volts AC (RMS) at sea level. The frame is designed for vibration resistance and thermal shock cycling between -55°C and +200°C, maintaining continuity and mechanical integrity. Applications include power distribution, feedback bussing, and modular interconnection in military aircraft, missiles, tanks, and other defense/aerospace systems where standardized, removable termination components simplify assembly, reduce weight, and enhance system reliability.
