DESCRIPTION

The M7928/6-3 is a radiation-resistant butt splice that conforms to military specification M7928/6. It is engineered to accommodate a wire size range of 22-16 AWG, which corresponds to a circular mil area of 509 to 3,260. The splice body is constructed from tin-plated copper with a radiation-resistant Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVF2) insulation sleeve, identifiable by its natural color with red stripes. It supports a maximum wire insulation diameter of 0.125 inches and has an overall length of 1.265 inches. As a Class 1 & 2 component, this splice is designed for creating reliable, environmentally sealed connections in applications where exposure to radiation is a concern.
