DESCRIPTION

The 62B22-SPP-080S is a Series 62B optical encoder that combines rotary sensing with both push and pull momentary switch functions in a single device. It provides a 2-bit quadrature output with 16 detent positions and operates on a 5 Vdc supply. This model features a high rotational torque of 6.0 ± 1.5 in-oz for positive tactile feedback, standard shaft travel of .030 inches for both push and pull actions, and is terminated with a stripped-end ribbon cable. The encoder is designed for high reliability with a mechanical life of 1 million rotational cycles and a switch life of 3 million actuations. Its robust design makes it suitable for menu scrolling and function selection in avionics, industrial, and medical applications.
