DESCRIPTION

The 62A15-01-080S is a Series 62A optical encoder providing a 2-bit quadrature output in a compact 1/2-inch package. This model operates on a 5.0 Vdc supply and features 24 mechanical detent positions with a 15° angle of throw. It has an initial operating torque of 2.0 ±1.4 in-oz and is supplied with an 8.0-inch stripped cable. Optically coupled for high reliability, it is rated for a minimum of 1,000,000 rotational cycles. This durable encoder is suitable for applications such as medical equipment and driver information systems where long life and precise user input are required.
