DESCRIPTION

The MCP73832T-2DCI/MC is a highly advanced linear charge management controller for space-limited, cost-sensitive applications using single-cell Lithium-Ion or Lithium-Polymer batteries. This specific model features a high-accuracy preset regulation voltage of 4.20V, a charge termination current ratio of 7.5%, and an automatic recharge threshold of 96.5%. Key integrated features include a pass transistor, current sense, reverse discharge protection, and thermal regulation, with a user-programmable charge current from 15 mA to 500 mA. Housed in a compact 8-Lead, 2x3 mm DFN package, it is specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device is ideally suited for portable applications such as Bluetooth headsets, MP3 players, digital cameras, and USB chargers.
