The DDMM-50P-Z-A159 is a high-reliability D-Sub connector featuring 50 contacts in size 20 configuration, designed for demanding applications requiring robust electrical connectivity. This connector is constructed with a steel shell finished in 1000 microinch electroless nickel, a thermoplastic PCT UL 94V-0 insulator in black, and straight PCB-mount contact pins made from copper alloy with gold over nickel plating (Performance Class 2). It supports a maximum current rating of 7.5 A per contact with a contact resistance of 7.5 milli Ohm maximum, operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C, and withstands a dielectric voltage of 1000 VAC at sea level. The connector accommodates wire gauges from AWG 20-28, offers 500 mating cycles, and is rated for 48-hour salt spray testing (96 hours for stainless steel variants), making it suitable for aerospace, military, industrial control, and telecommunications applications where durability and signal integrity are essential.
