DESCRIPTION

The 2242C-SL002 is a two-pair shielded communication cable designed for low-voltage signal transmission and control applications. It features 18 AWG (16/30) tinned copper conductors with 0.016" PVC insulation, organized into two pairs (BLACK-RED and BLACK-WHITE) twisted at 5.3 twists/foot minimum, and cabled together at 3.2 twists/foot minimum. The cable incorporates an aluminum/mylar tape shield with 25% overlap and a 20 AWG tinned copper drain wire, all enclosed in a 0.035" PVC jacket with a slate color. Electrical characteristics include a 300V RMS voltage rating, 49O characteristic impedance, 40 pF/ft mutual capacitance, and 0.18 µH/ft inductance. The cable operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, supports a maximum pull tension of 58 lbs, and maintains a 10X cable diameter bend radius. It is UL-listed as AWM/STYLE 2464 (80°C/300V RMS) and CM (75°C), CSA-certified as CMG FT4, and complies with RoHS 2/3 and EU Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, making it suitable for industrial control, instrumentation, and data communication systems.
