40A-2000-360T is a critically fluid damped DC accelerometer designed for anthropomorphic dummy and pedestrian impact testing, compliant with SAE J211/J2570 and ISO 6487 safety regulations. It features a ±2000g dynamic range with 0.075 mV/g sensitivity at 10Vdc excitation, a frequency response of 0-2500 Hz (±2.5%), and a natural frequency greater than 10000 Hz. The accelerometer incorporates silicon piezoresistive elements with a 0.7 damping ratio, less than 1% transverse sensitivity (T option), and 10000g shock protection. Operating over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C with IP65 sealing, it weighs less than 5 grams and includes a 360-inch (30 ft) cable with braided shield and polyurethane jacket. Common applications include crash zone testing, auto safety testing, shock and impact testing, and transient drop testing.
