2178711-8 is an 8-position female on board SMD connector from TE Connectivity's Micro-MaTch Value-line Connector Family, designed for board-to-board and wire-to-board interconnections. This connector features a 1.27 mm (0.050 inch) centerline pitch with top entry configuration and surface mount technology for automatic pick and place assembly. It provides highly reliable gas tight and corrosion free connections between wire and insulation displacement contacts. The connector is suitable for applications in home automation, alarm equipment, mobile GPS devices, lighting, air and climate control units, CCTV, and electronic voting machines.
