The IR11BR is an infrared single gas sensor designed for reliable carbon dioxide monitoring in hazardous environments using the proven Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) principle. It features a 19.0 mm sensor height, standard IR source, and operates over a concentration range of 0–100% CO2 (also suitable for 0–10% range), with a minimum detection level of 50 ppm CO2. The sensor incorporates a pyroelectric detector with specific filtering mounted in an optical/gas cavity, a special gold-plated optical cavity for stable signal levels, and rugged stainless steel construction with no moving parts. It is certified for hazardous environments (ATEX II 2G Ex db IIC Gb, IECEx, CSA, and UL) and operates reliably across varying temperature, pressure, and humidity conditions, making it suitable for oil & gas, petrochemical, biogas, wastewater, utilities, steelworks, and confined space entry applications.
