The 843996-5 is a side release extraction and lance reset tool manufactured by TE Connectivity for removing MTE, Mod IV, Tandem Spring, and Mini Tandem Spring contacts from housings while resetting overly depressed contact locking lances. This tool features a tapered tip to facilitate contact removal and is specifically designed for side release housings where the locking lance is lodged into the side of the housing cavity.
