The 8-215083-4 is a male-on-wire connector from the TE Connectivity Micro-MaTch modular connector family, designed for wire-to-board interconnections with 1.27 mm contact spacing. This connector is supplied on-tape and supports mass termination of 28 AWG ribbon cable (0.08 mm² to 0.09 mm²) with a tin-plated contact design that provides gas-tight connections. The connector features a positioning spring in the female contact that absorbs relative movements caused by vibrations and thermal expansion, preventing fretting corrosion—the traditional failure mode in tin-plated connections. The 8-215083-4 is available in multiple position sizes (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, and 24 positions) and is packaged on reels (2500 units) or in boxes (250 units).
