The 1-87523-5 is a standard pressure Mod IV receptacle contact from the AMPMODU interconnection system, designed for creating reliable wire connections. It accommodates a wire size range of 24-20 AWG with a maximum insulation diameter of 0.069 inches. This contact is constructed from copper-tin-phosphor bronze and features Plating B, a duplex plating of 0.000015 inches of gold on the contact area and tin-lead on the crimp area over a nickel underplate. With a current rating of 3 amperes and a maximum termination resistance of 20 milliohms, it ensures stable electrical performance. These self-retaining contacts are designed to mate with .025 inch square posts and are used within various AMPMODU housings for applications in industrial and commercial electronics.
