The MCP4821T-E/MS is a 12-bit buffered voltage output Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) that operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply. It includes a high-precision internal 2.048V voltage reference and a selectable gain option, allowing for full-scale output ranges of 2.048V (unity gain) or 4.096V (2x gain). The device features a rail-to-rail output, a fast settling time of 4.5 µs, and communicates via an SPI-compatible serial interface with support for clock speeds up to 20 MHz. Its features make it well-suited for applications such as set point or offset trimming, sensor calibration, and portable battery-powered instrumentation.
