The EMC2101-R-ACZL-TR is an integrated fan control solution that communicates via an SMBus 2.0 compliant interface and includes both an internal and an external temperature monitor. It features a selectable fan drive output, configurable as either a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) with up to 64 steps or a 6-bit linear Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). The external temperature channel offers high accuracy of ±1°C and includes advanced features like Resistance Error Correction (REC) for up to 100Ω and Automatic Beta Compensation. As an EMC2101-R variant, it supports auto-programming upon power-up by loading configuration data from an external SMBus compatible EEPROM. This device is ideal for thermal management in applications such as graphics processors and embedded systems requiring precise, temperature-based fan speed control.
