The 2046-60-C2FLF is a heavy-duty 3-electrode gas discharge tube designed for surge protection in telecommunications, industrial, and consumer electronics equipment. This device features a DC sparkover voltage of 600 V at 100 V/s, with impulse sparkover ratings of less than 1000 V at 100 V/µs and less than 1100 V at 1000 V/µs, providing reliable overvoltage protection across a wide range of transient conditions. The tube measures 8 mm in diameter by 10 mm in length with 1.0 mm diameter lead wires spaced 4.4 mm apart, and incorporates fail-short configuration for enhanced safety. Key electrical characteristics include an insulation resistance greater than 10 GO, glow voltage of approximately 70 V at 10 mA, arc voltage of approximately 10 V at 1 A, and maximum capacitance of less than 2 pF at 1 MHz. The device is rated for maximum impulse discharge currents of 20,000 A (8/20 µs, 1 operation) and 10,000 A (8/20 µs, 10 operations), with an impulse life of 130 operations at 200 A (10/1000 µs). Operating over a temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and RoHS compliant, the 2046-60-C2FLF is ideal for protecting sensitive equipment from lightning strikes and electrical transients in demanding environments.
