The 20-823-90T is a Series 800 Vertisocket™ DIP socket designed for horizontal mounting with bifurcated contacts, specifically engineered for DIP packaging of LEDs, incandescent lamps, DIP switches, and test points. The socket features Grade A spring-tempered phosphor bronze bifurcated contacts with restricted entry for contact protection, and accepts standard LEDs and incandescent displays as well as 0.500 and 0.600 inch tall displays. It is constructed with black UL 94V-0 4/6 nylon body material and offers multiple plating options including gold, tin, or tin/lead, with a contact current rating of 1.5 amps and operating temperature range up to 105°C (Sn/Sn/Pb) or 125°C (Au plating). The socket accommodates flat leads up to 0.014 inches thick and 0.020 inches wide, or round leads up to 0.020 inches diameter, with lead lengths from 0.075 to 0.160 inches.
