12015782 is a heavy-duty, compact 2.8 mm automotive connector system designed for high-current applications in vehicle electrical architectures. The connector features a two-piece construction with an integrated floating spring made of beryllium copper or copper nickel silicon, delivering the highest current rating in its class at 40 A maximum. It exhibits excellent electrical performance with contact resistance below 2 mO, contact mating force below 5 N, and contact unmating force below 2 N, ensuring reliable and ergonomic mating cycles. The system operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +150°C and withstands vibration up to 30 G, meeting or exceeding USCAR performance standards and GMW3191 specifications.
