The 8646AKB is a double-pole momentary/alternate action pushbutton switch from the 8000 series, featuring solder lug terminals and a threaded Ø6.35 mm (1/4") bushing with keyway. It provides ON-ON functionality on poles 2-3 and 5-6, with ON-MOM (momentary) functionality on poles 1-2 and 4-5. The switch is constructed with a diallyphthalate case, nickel-plated brass actuator and bushing, and stainless steel housing, with silver contacts as standard. Electrical specifications include a maximum current/voltage rating of 3A at 250VAC or 6A at 125VAC with silver contacts, an initial contact resistance of 10 mO maximum, and an electrical life of 30,000 cycles at full load. The switch operates reliably over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is UL approved, making it suitable for industrial control panels, instrumentation, and equipment requiring dual-pole switching functionality.
