MS3106R12S-3S is a MIL-DTL-5015 Class R straight plug cylindrical connector designed for environmental resistant applications requiring high reliability in a shorter, lighter weight package. It features a shell size 12S with a .7500-20UNEF thread and insert arrangement 3S, with shells fabricated from high-grade aluminum alloy with electrically conductive cadmium plated finish and olive drab chromate after-treatment for corrosion resistance. The connector incorporates an O-ring at the main joint for supplementary sealing and resilient neoprene inserts with molded webs ensuring a moisture barrier around each wire. Contacts are machined from copper alloy for maximum corrosion resistance and current carrying capacity, available in both crimp and solder versions. This MS-R type connector satisfies all performance requirements of MIL-DTL-5015 and is recommended for new design applications in demanding environments.
