The 1898/4C-SL002 is a four-conductor control cable manufactured by Alpha Wire, designed for general-purpose signal and power distribution in industrial and commercial applications. Each conductor is 18 AWG (16/30 stranded tinned copper) with 0.016" nominal PVC insulation wall, and the four conductors are twisted together at a minimum rate of 4.4 twists per foot. The cable features a 0.020" nominal PVC jacket in slate color and is rated for 300 V RMS operation at temperatures up to 80°C (UL AWM/STYLE 2509) or 75°C (UL CM), with a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C. Electrical characteristics include a nominal capacitance of 33 pF/ft at 1 kHz (conductor-to-conductor), inductance of 0.18 µH/ft, and conductor DC resistance of 7.2 O/1000 ft at 20°C. This cable is ideal for control circuits, instrumentation, and low-voltage applications where flexibility, durability, and compliance with UL, CSA, and RoHS standards are required.
