The 7100251820 is an 891 Series IDC ribbon cable socket designed for terminating .050" pitch ribbon cables. This connector accommodates 26 and 28 AWG stranded wire and features phosphor bronze contacts with 30 μ” gold plating in the wiping area for reliable connections. The insulator is made from gray, glass-filled polyester (PBT) with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating, and the socket operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +105°C. The preassembled design and double-recessed cover, which allows cable termination from either side, simplify assembly processes. These sockets are ideal for a wide range of electronic applications requiring robust wire-to-board connections.
