The GX-H8B is a rectangular-shaped inductive proximity sensor with amplifier built-in, designed for top sensing applications with PNP open-collector transistor output. It features a maximum operation distance of 2.5 mm (0.098 in) with a stable sensing range of 0 to 2.1 mm (0 to 0.083 in), offering excellent repeatability of 0.04 mm (0.0016 in) or less along and perpendicular to the sensing axis. The sensor operates with a supply voltage of 12 to 24 V DC with ripple P-P of 10% or less, current consumption of 15 mA or less, and maximum source current of 100 mA. It provides outstanding temperature stability with sensing range variation within ±8% across the ambient temperature range of -25 to +70°C (-10 to +158°F), and is rated for IP68 protection suitable for industrial environments.
