The XLR432 is a rugged audio connector designed for professional microphone, test instrument, and audio equipment applications. It features a resilient socket insulator that maximizes performance in humid conditions while minimizing vibration and electrical noise, combined with highly reliable machined copper-alloy silver contacts and a quick-disconnect latch lock mechanism. The connector is rated for 5–15 A depending on contact arrangement, with a service voltage of 133 VAC and dielectric withstanding voltage of 1400 VAC, along with insulation resistance of 5000 MO minimum at 500 VDC. The aluminum-alloy shell with satin nickel finish and low reflectivity design provides durability for extreme field use, and the connector is interchangeable and intermateable with XLB2, XLA, XLG, XLB-PC, and XLM series connectors. Common applications include microphones, speakers, TV cameras, amplifiers, mixers, and medical instruments.
