MDM-21PBSPL58 is a Micro-D metal shell PCB connector featuring 21 pin contacts with 0.050" (1.27 mm) contact spacing, designed for high-density and high-reliability interconnect applications. This plug connector utilizes straight PCB termination (BS) with jackposts (P) for secure mounting with locking hardware, and features an extended termination tail length of 0.375" (9.52 mm) per the L58 modification code. The insulator is constructed from Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) material, and the connector is designed for use with flex circuitry, flat cable, printed circuit boards, and multi-layer boards. It offers dielectric withstanding voltage of 600 VAC at sea level, insulation resistance of 5,000 megohms minimum, and withstands thermal shock from -55°C to +125°C. Common applications include board-to-board, board-to-cable, and cable-to-cable connections in demanding environments requiring high reliability.
