The device can record up to 129,920 data points with selectable sampling rates and response times (Fast at 125 ms or Slow at 1 s), with a real-time clock for timestamped measurements. The compact design incorporates a 0.5" electret microphone, USB interface for direct PC connection and data download, and includes software for data analysis, making it ideal for environmental noise assessment, occupational health monitoring, and acoustic research applications.
