The 3180-3SG-315 is a Multi-Con-X field installable cable socket connector designed for cable-to-cable applications with a #16 contact size supporting 3 contacts. This connector features a weathertight grommet grip/seal with an interfacial O-ring (Style #3 backshell), gold over nickel plated brass contacts, and a nylon body with santoprene rubber grommet for reliable environmental sealing. The connector is rated for 1.95 to 23.0A at 600V and accommodates 16 to 18 AWG conductors, with a cable outer diameter range of 0.21 to 0.23 inches (5.3 to 5.8 mm). It is UL recognized (File #E138878 at 250V) and CSA certified (File #LR89277 at 600V), making it suitable for industrial field installations, custom cable assemblies, and applications requiring secure, weathertight connections in demanding environments.
