MC485232M is an RS485/RS232 communication port module with integrated memory designed for the WM40 96 three-phase smart power analyzer. This module provides bidirectional serial communication using the MODBUS RTU/JBUS protocol with selectable baud rates from 9.6k to 115.2k bit/s, supporting up to 247 addressable devices over a maximum distance of 1000 m for RS485 (2-wire) or 15 m for RS232 (3-wire). The integrated memory enables event logging of up to 10,000 timestamped events (alarms, min/max values, digital input/output status, and resets) and data logging of up to 19 different measured variables at configurable intervals from 1 to 60 minutes, with FIFO data management and 4 MB Flash storage. This module is ideal for energy management applications requiring remote monitoring, data archival, and integration with building automation systems or industrial control networks.
