The 5.0SMDJ40A is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode engineered for circuit protection against voltage transients. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 40V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 44.4V. This device can dissipate a peak pulse power of 5000 watts and clamps the voltage at a maximum of 64.5V when subjected to a peak pulse current of 77.6A. Housed in a compact DO-214AB (SMC) package, it operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C.
