The 3315Y-001-016L is a 9 mm square sealed incremental encoder designed for precision rotational sensing and control applications. It features a 16 pulses per revolution (PPR) resolution with 2-bit quadrature output where Channel A leads Channel B during clockwise rotation, providing directional information for up/down counting logic. The encoder operates continuously over a 360° mechanical angle with a maximum running torque of 3.53 N-cm and includes a plastic bushing mount with a maximum mounting torque of 45.19 N-cm. Electrical specifications include a closed circuit resistance of 5 ohms maximum, TTL-compatible contact rating, and a contact bounce of 5 milliseconds maximum, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and IP67 sealing for environmental protection. The encoder is ideal for audio equipment, industrial control panels, and precision instrumentation where reliable rotational feedback and compact form factor are essential.
