DESCRIPTION

The 2299503-1 is an Orange Wire Grip twist splice connector designed for safe and reliable termination of multiple copper wires in building wiring and electrical installations. It accommodates wire sizes from 22 to 14 AWG, with a minimum wire combination of 1 #18 with 1 #20 and a maximum of 4 #16 with 1 #20, providing flexibility for various wiring scenarios. The connector features a live-action square spring mechanism that draws wires deep into the spring for a positive grip, and is rated up to 600 volts for building wiring applications. Operating at a maximum temperature of 105°C (221°F) and designed for copper-copper wire connections only, this connector meets UL 486C and CSA 22.2 standards. It is commonly used in lighting installation, residential building wiring, and building equipment applications where inexpensive, insulated electrical terminations are required.
