DESCRIPTION

MC18FD181J-F is a Type MC multilayer RF mica chip capacitor designed for high-frequency, high-power applications requiring excellent RF performance. This 180 pF capacitor is rated for 500 Vdc operation in a 1812 case package, featuring a natural mica dielectric that maintains high Q factor to many megahertz. The device operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with a capacitance tolerance of ±5% (J-code tolerance). It exhibits extremely high Q at UHF/VHF frequencies, is free from thermal cracking, and is compatible with FR4 boards and wave soldering processes. The capacitor supports high RF current with dV/dt capability of 20,000 V/µs, making it ideal for MRI coils, RF instruments, power amplifiers, tuned LCR circuits, and other demanding RF applications where reliability and performance exceed standard ceramic alternatives.
