DESCRIPTION
The DWS-D-DAC13 is a relative wind vane sensor designed for wind direction measurement, primarily for the windmill industry. It features opto-electronic detection with both PNP and NPN open-collector outputs in a single unit, providing square wave signals of 12.5 mA ± 2 mA with 0° and 90° interval indication. The sensor operates at a rated voltage of 12 to 24 VDC (control voltage 10 to 28 VDC) with a built-in self-regulated PTC heater element (12 to 24 VAC/DC) to prevent glazing and ensure reliable operation in harsh environmental conditions. The device is housed in black PVC with a stainless steel rotor, features dust labyrinth sealing, IP54 protection rating, and operates reliably across -20°C to +60°C. Its robust design with reverse polarity and transient protection, combined with comprehensive EMC compliance, makes it ideal for outdoor renewable energy and meteorological monitoring applications.
