DESCRIPTION
FSSL006NF is an outdoor loose tube fiber optic cable featuring OS2 single-mode fiber with 6 fibers, designed for outside plant (OSP) applications. The cable features a gel-filled subunit construction with 8.2/125 µm fiber core diameter and 250 µm fiber diameter, providing excellent waterblocking protection. It offers a nominal outer diameter of 0.364 in (9.2 mm) with a black polyethylene jacket and supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance up to 10,000 m at 1310 nm and 40,000 m at 1550 nm. The cable is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C with a maximum tensile strength of 2670 N during installation. Suitable for campus area networks, long haul, and backbone applications, this cable is designed for outdoor and burial environments compliant with ANSI/ICEA S-87-640 standards.
