DESCRIPTION
9880-0041640 is an IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Thicknet 10BASE5 coaxial cable designed for thick Ethernet and 1000BASE-T networking applications. It features a 12 AWG solid bare copper conductor with a nominal diameter of 0.066 in, foam polyethylene insulation with a nominal diameter of 0.243 in (6.17 mm), and a Duobond IV quad shield providing 100% coverage with tri-laminate tape and tinned copper braid layers. The cable has a nominal characteristic impedance of 50 Ohm, velocity of propagation of 78%, and a nominal capacitance of 26 pF/ft. With a PVC outer jacket measuring 0.405 in (10.3 mm) in diameter, an operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, and CM/CL2 ratings, this cable is suitable for indoor Ethernet installations requiring reliable signal transmission and excellent shielding performance.
