DESCRIPTION

2-331272-6 is a miniature spring IC socket with a closed bottom configuration designed for secure IC lead connections. This Series 2 flat bottom socket accepts pin diameters ranging from .022 to .025 inches (0.56-0.64 mm) and features a beryllium copper spring with a copper contact sleeve. The socket has dimensions of A: .070 inch (1.78 mm), B: .138 inch (3.51 mm), C: .050 inch (1.27 mm), and D: .030 inch (0.76 mm), with gold plating on both the spring and sleeve for reliable electrical contact. It is suitable for semiautomatic or hand insertion with a recommended hole size of .052+0.003 inches, making it ideal for PCB assembly applications requiring dependable IC mounting.
