1501518 is a Metal-Out Static Shielding Bag 1500 designed to provide static-safe packaging for the shipment and storage of ESD-sensitive items, including outside ESD protected areas. The bag is manufactured from a top-coated metallized polyester and polyethylene laminate with a proprietary top coating that protects the metal layer and quickly discharges electrical fields. The polyester dielectric, in concert with the metal layer, provides shielding for bag contents from electrostatic discharge and minimizes electrical field penetration. Key performance characteristics include a puncture resistance of 10 lbs (44 N), seal strength of 14 lbs (62 N), thickness of 3 mils (0.0762 mm), and discharge shielding of less than 10 nJ. The bag meets ANSI/ESD S20.20, ANSI/ESD S541, and ANSI/ESD S11.4 Level 3 standards. Available in both open-top and zip-top styles with heat-sealable construction, these bags are ideal for protecting sensitive electronics during shipment and storage in various industrial and commercial environments.
