DESCRIPTION

The 88951-161LF is a Metral® vertical header backplane connector designed for high-density interconnection applications. It features a 4-row configuration with solder-to-board termination, offering 250 contacts per 100mm connector length and a 2mm contact pitch for flexible modular connectivity. The connector is designed in accordance with IEC 61076-4-104 and Telcordia GR-1217-CORE standards, with varying pin lengths that enable first-mate, last-break capability and sequential connection of pins for design flexibility. The dual beam contact design and locating pegs option provide electrical reliability and accurate positioning on PCBs while withstanding vibration. This connector is ideal for data, industrial and instrumentation, medical, and telecom markets where high signal density and modular scalability are required.
