DESCRIPTION
The GBI40M is a single-phase diode bridge rectifier designed for 50/60 Hz mains rectification and power supply applications. It features four diodes in bridge configuration with a maximum alternating input voltage of 700 V RMS and a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000 V, providing robust performance in industrial and commercial environments. The device delivers a maximum rectified output current of 40 A with forced cooling (at 100°C case temperature) and 6 A free-standing operation (at 50°C), with a forward voltage drop of less than 1.1 V at 20 A. Key electrical characteristics include a reverse recovery time of approximately 1500 ns, leakage current below 5 µA, and thermal resistance of 0.6 K/W junction-to-case.
