DESCRIPTION

AAE7180-00 is a D-SUB backshell assembly with integrated RFI comb designed for MIL-DTL-24308 applications. The assembly features a brass RFI comb with silver plate finish and is secured with a 4-40 UNC hex socket cap head screw, torqued to 5.2 lb·in (58.75 cNm). The backshell supports multiple shell sizes (09, 15, 25, 37, 50, 104) with configurable entry styles, jack post options, and adjustable depth in 5 mm increments (standard 30 mm, range 20–60 mm). The jack post is secured with thread lock adhesive and features a 4-40 UNC female thread. This assembly is commonly used in military and aerospace connector systems where electromagnetic interference shielding and reliable cable retention are critical requirements.
