The B4505CN is a base-loaded mobile antenna designed for 450–470 MHz operation in demanding radio communications environments. It features a stainless-steel whip with ABS housing molded around a solid brass insert, gold-plated push-pin contacts, and operates with no ground plane (NGP) requirement, delivering 5 dB gain with vertical polarization and omni-directional radiation pattern. The antenna is rated for 100 W maximum power at 25 °C ambient, maintains a VSWR of =2.0:1 average, and has a 50 O nominal impedance with a vertical plane 3 dB beamwidth of 28°. Measuring 820 mm (32.25 inches) in height and 36.57 mm (1.44 inches) in diameter with a weight of 205.5 g (7.25 oz), it is rated for outdoor use with storage temperatures from -35 °C to +85 °C and includes a tuning chart for minor frequency adjustment via a long tuning ferrule.
