DESCRIPTION

The 214157-E is a MiniBridge cable connector system featuring 1.27 mm pitch spacing designed for space-saving connections between PCBs and decentralized function units. This connector utilizes Insulation Displacement Connection (IDC) technology with ribbon cable AWG 26/7 or discrete wire options (AWG 22/7, AWG 24/7, AWG 26/7), offering flexible configuration with contact counts ranging from 2 to 12 positions. The system operates across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and supports current ratings up to 8.7 A per contact at 20°C, with dielectric strength of 500 Vrms contact-to-contact. The connector features positive lock or friction lock interlocking options, 500 mating cycles mechanical operation rating, and insertion/withdrawal force of 1 N per contact. Applications include automotive, mechanical engineering, medical technology, and consumer electronics where reliable, compact interconnections are required.
