DESCRIPTION

D38999/40WD18SN-L/C is a MIL-DTL-38999 Series III subminiature connector designed for rugged, harsh environment aerospace, defense, and marine applications. The connector features a stainless steel shell with electrodeposited nickel plating (48-hour salt spray rating), a threaded 360° turn coupling mechanism, and environmentally sealed construction with scoop-proof design. It supports up to 18 signal contacts using AS39029 contact type in multiple styles including crimp, solder cup, eyelet, and PCB tail configurations, with operating temperatures ranging from -65°C to +150°C depending on shell finish. The connector offers 500 mating cycles durability (with higher durability versions available) and is available in multiple shell sizes and contact arrangements. This connector is ideal for applications requiring reliable electrical connections in demanding environments where environmental sealing, EMI control via spring fingers, and high durability are essential.
