DESCRIPTION

YAFD50-16-26SNC012 is a DEUTSCH AFD Series miniature circular connector featuring a square flange mount receptacle with size 16 contact configuration and 26-position insert arrangement. The connector is qualified to MIL-DTL-26482 Series II and incorporates bayonet quick-connect coupling with rear release contacts and environmental sealing to withstand harsh aerospace, defense, and marine environments. The shell is constructed from aluminum alloy with nickel, black anodized, or olive drab cadmium plating, while contacts are copper alloy with selective 50 µin gold plating and rigid plastic dielectric insulation. For size 16 contacts, the connector supports wire ranges of 20–16 AWG (0.52–1.31 mm²) with a test current rating of 13 amps, and uses M22520/1-01 crimp tooling. This connector is ideal for applications requiring reliable, sealed connections in demanding environments such as aircraft systems, military equipment, and marine installations.
