DESCRIPTION

8-55851-2 is a pre-insulated sealed terminal designed for secure wire termination on M4 studs, accommodating wire sizes of 16–14 AWG (1.04–2.62 mm²) with CMA ratings of 2,050–5,180. The terminal features a copper body with tin plating and polyolefin insulation that provides both moisture-proof sealing to prevent corrosion and visual examination capability through the color-coded heat-shrinkable sleeve. Key dimensional specifications include a maximum length of 30.94 mm, width of 7.87 mm, tongue material thickness of 0.86 mm, and maximum wire insulation diameter of 4.83 mm. The one-piece assembly design enables fast, easy terminations with firm mechanical crimp assurance for electrical integrity, and the product is recognized under the UL Component Program. These terminals are ideal for automotive, industrial, and marine applications where environmental sealing and reliable electrical connections are critical.
