DESCRIPTION

The 63097-1 is a Mark II 250 Series straight positive lock receptacle terminal manufactured by TE Connectivity. It accommodates 18-16 AWG wire with an insulation diameter range of 0.090–0.155 inches (2.29–3.94 mm) and features brass material with tin plating for enhanced corrosion resistance. The terminal has a stock thickness of 0.016 inches (0.41 mm), fits a 0.032 inch (0.81 mm) tab, and provides an overall length of 0.886 inches (22.50 mm). The receptacle locks securely onto mating tabs containing holes and is removable only by deflecting an integrally designed depressor, ensuring reliable retention during assembly and operation. This design reduces insertion force and provides a "snap" action confirmation that the receptacle is properly mated, making it ideal for automatic or semi-automatic equipment termination in automotive, industrial, and consumer electronic applications.
