DESCRIPTION

5-5179180-2 is a fine-pitch SMT stacking connector designed for parallel board-to-board applications with a 0.8mm free height configuration. The connector features spring contacts for reliable electrical connection and is available in multiple position configurations (40 to 200 positions). It operates at a voltage rating of 100 VAC with a current rating of 0.5 ampere, maintaining a contact resistance of 30 milliohms maximum (initial) and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 500 VAC (1 minute). The connector is rated for operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, including terminal temperature rise, and is available with 8µ" Au or 30µ" Au plating options. These connectors are commonly used in compact stacking applications where space constraints require minimal height while maintaining reliable signal and power distribution between PCBs.
