DESCRIPTION

5-487509-5 is a TRIO-MATE FFC connector assembly designed for wire-to-board signal applications. It features 6 positions arranged in a single row with a 2.54 mm centerline pitch and vertical PCB mount orientation. The connector utilizes socket contacts with tin-plated phosphor bronze material (5 µm plating thickness) and supports a maximum current rating of 1 A per contact. Termination is accomplished through through-hole solder mounting with a post and tail length of 4.06 mm, and the connector includes Z-bend PCB mount retention with polarization alignment. The assembly operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +105°C and is housed in black thermoplastic material with UL 94V-0 flammability rating. This connector is ideal for applications requiring low insertion force, reliable signal transmission, and compact board-level interconnection in consumer electronics, industrial equipment, and data communication systems.
